Thinking of a new job? Do you want to change your current job but don't know what to do? Follow our 10 steps and change your professional career.
  1. Think about what you'd like to find - perhaps you're a specialist with years of experience looking for a team leader role, or you're a graduate looking for your first job? A good plan is essential so you don't renew your search within six months
  2. Consider where you can find the jobs you're interested in - we often find special job listings for representatives from a variety of industries. Or perhaps you know a recruiter who works in a recruitment agency and has access to a wide range of adverts?
  3. Update your CV - Prepare your CV in two languages - Polish and English. Update the template to a transparent one that will be readable by the reader. Add a description of the positions you have held so far and update your skills. Check your foreign language skills and assess them on an A1-C2 scale
  4. Prepare a social media profile - a completed LinkedIn or Goldenline profile will allow recruiters to find you. If you are active on these portals, you will also be informed about new offers or changes on the job market
  5. Try using the power of networking - maybe you know someone who works at your dream company or in a similar position? Some companies have offers open to employees, maybe this is your chance
  6. Apply! - If you see an offer that interests you, don't hesitate. Even if you don't meet all the requirements, you may still be the best candidate. When searching, it's better to have one too many conversations than too few
  7. Consider different scenarios, prepare for potential interviews - Think about your strengths and what successes you already have to your credit. Prepare for a story about your career to date and plans for the future
  8. Try to do well at each of the interviews - Even if you already know during the interview that the position is not meeting your expectations, try to make the best impression. Maybe in a month or two there will be a recruitment for your dream position at that company and by then the recruiter will already have a positive view of your candidacy
  9. Keep an eye on process deadlines - not just those on the recruiter's end. Sometimes your candidacy can be delayed if you arrive late for an appointment, send in a late portfolio or send in a language test late. Take care of the procedure so you can't be at fault
  10. Give yourself a few days to think before signing the contract - don't make hasty decisions: it exists! I managed to find a job! Hooray! A positive reaction from the recruitment process! However, consider whether the goal from the first step we mentioned has been achieved. Is this the job you fought for? Are the financial conditions right for you? Think carefully about your decision so that you don't regret the steps you take
